“RTÉ Does Comic Relief”

OACS Ireland are incredibly pleased to inform our members, volunteers, and supporters that we have been allocated €2000 under the “RTÉ Does Comic Relief” fund.

RTÉ does Comic Relief was established in response to the fundraising crisis which non-profit organisations are experiencing because of the necessary COVID-19 restrictions

The award of this grant is extremely welcome in what has been an incredibly difficult year for our organisation as we worked to continue vital supports for people with Foetal Valproate Syndrome, Foetal Valproate Spectrum Disorder and Foetal Anticonvulsant Syndromes with their families in this “new normal”.

We are proud to have continued supporting families impacted across Ireland throughout the pandemic and we hope to adapt some of our services online this funding will help us do that.

The allocation under this fund will allow us the scope to improve our services in 2021 as we continue our work towards a society where no person’s life is limited by the above syndromes.

We would like to thank everyone involved with RTÉ Does Comic Relief; the Community Foundation of Ireland; and of course, to everyone who donated to the Comic Relief fund.
